Have you ever had someone say
something to you that felt hurtful insulting, or belittling and it
really got you down?
Of course you have, who hasn’t? But
have you thought about how many times you’ve done that to yourself?
Do you pay attention to the way you talk to yourself, and think
about yourself?
Are you aware of how your own words make you feel?
Maybe you say things like, “I’m my
own worst critic.” Or “I beat myself up enough, you don’t have
to.”
I could go on because there are far
worse statements than this that we say to ourselves and I’ve been
guilty of it too.
In today’s show, I want to help you
think about how treating yourself this way serves you. Does it make
your life better? Create more potential, strengthen relationships?
NO.
So why do you continue to do it?
There could be lots of reasons but here are a couple that top the charts:
-You’re not even aware that you’re doing it.
-You think you’re supposed to feel bad.
-You think feeling bad is easier than working through emotions.
-You just don’t know how to change it.
Well, listen in girlfriend because in this episode I’m going to give you some insights and two simple steps on how to become more aware of how you treat yourself and how to change it so you set the standard for all the goodness you deserve.
